The Duchenier Wildlife Reserve is the perfect place for hunting and fishing. The territory have a growing moose population, a unique wildlife and a big amount of lakes with high fishing potential.
Originally created in 1977, following the abolition of private clubs, the Duchenier Wildlife Reserve is part of the network of Quebec wildlife reserves. Duchenier is managed by Terfa (NPO) and comes under the responsability of the Quebec Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks. First known for the high fishing quality and the native speckled (brook) trout, Duchenier quickly became a must for lake fishing, but also for moose hunting in Bas-Saint-Laurent.
